Mind Power
The idea of being comfortable with the uncomfortable is arguably the hidden key to success. Time is constantly changing, so the quicker we can adapt to change, the faster we can grow. Majority of the time, all this takes is building a new habit on how to perceive certain situations. I want to shed a little light on the idea of “glancing on results but focusing on the process” as we go forth in todays hectic world.
The “Grind”
It’s a shame that we have to associate something difficult with it being a burden or a “grind”. Just because something is tough, does not necessarily mean it has to be a grind. Majority of us deeply want to make a change with the time we have on this planet and the strangest part is that we don’t necessarily want to go through the unfamiliarity and grueling processes in order to get different results. In order to get unfamiliar results, we will have to take on unfamiliar actions.
Einstein said it best,“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” We simply have to do things we have never done before to get new results. This is a sure fire way that growth can occur.
Fake it until you make it?
Opposed to adopting the popular term “fake it until you make it” maybe use instead “rehearse it until you’ve got it”. The brain works on repetition, as we do things over and over, we are at the same time laying down Myelin over particular axons. With time and consistency, the Myelin will get thicker, almost solidifying that pathway and will seem “automatic” to us.
In todays society, men don’t necessarily have good role models to help paint the picture for them, ESPECIALLY on how to treat women. Growing up, I would see how married couples acted in movies and sometimes, even in music videos. Hollywood pretty much summed up what I thought a successful marriage looked like. This set me up for a rude awakening as I got older. Seeking out information and laying down proper Myelin on how do certain things should help solve problems like this going forth.
Taking action is power
Information doesn’t become knowledge until information is acted on. In the world of business, there are hundreds of men/women running going around with A LOT of information, but very little knowledge. If we really want to improve our lives in a genuine and radical way, we must start acting on information that we seek. It’s an unusual situation, many men/women know all of the strategies and methods to expand their socializing lives and how to make loads of money, but often times they are also sad and single.
