As consumers, we participate in this bizarre, natural food cycle on a daily basis. If we were to boil life down to its raw source, almost everything starts from our soil. The air we breathe comes from trees, which grow from proper soil. The food we eat in order to produce anything starts with the nutrition we are consuming providing us with proper energy, comes from plants that are grown in soil! This is where all life begins.
Unfortunately, If the soil gets corrupted or contaminated in any way, contaminated DNA could easily get passed down to the animals who eat these plants that come from contaminated soil. As consumers, we then who eats the animal who consumed the contaminate plants. This contaminated DNA eventually gets passed down to us and we find ourselves in a vicious cycle. Acute examples include:
– respiratory tract irritation
– sore throat and/or cough or allergic sensations
– eye and skin irritation
– nausea/vomiting
– diarrhea/headaches
– loss of consciousness
– extreme weakness, seizures and/or death
My theory is we have healthy soil, we will eventually have healthier lives. Learning how to properly garden or farm in efficient ways could help your soil as you can grow our (pesticide free) foods, step by step. Having a compost bin on our side when cooking will also boost soil health if distributed properly as fertilizer. The compost materials will feed the soil with lots of beneficial microorganisms. Growing a garden that has a diversity of plants and veggies will also help keep healthy soil.
Pro Tip:
Make use of a compost bin and learn how to plant own garden! (if you have space)
